Political debates are dumb. I really don't like them. Basically, it gives politicians a chance to dance around questions and lie. I really don't like how youtube has joined up with the debates because, it gives the people hope that maybe "Hey, they care about me! They will take my questions". But really, no, no they won't. They will just say "Thanks for the question [Insert Name Here]. I... [insert bullshit and question dodging here]. I'm pretty sure that's what the teleprompter says at those things. Isn't it a little early for debates for the November 2008 election in July 2007? OH SHIT. I just realized why they are doing this. They aren't doing this for the voters. They aren't doing it for the canidates.
It's for ratings. Our most sacred right in America is being whored out for ratings.

P.S. Expect a lot of updates during the school year. I'm taking a National Issues class where we just get to sit around and debate about shit. It should make for some good blogs. Maybe. Or maybe it won't. I guess we'll see.
